PRAYER TO GET SUCCESS IN LIFE

THE SOUL PRAYER (CHANDOGYA UPANISHAD)

Atma namaste dear divine soul, everyone asks what to do or not to do in eclipse time, sharing with you some deep philosophy and prayer from UPANISHAD.

Vivek

PHILOSOPHY OF ECLIPSE

When the Sun, Moon and Earth are in one line, there is a different cosmic energy pattern that happens and it is called “Eclipse”. It is a celestial phenomenon. This time is very good for meditation and chanting.

The mind is connected with the moon, the body is connected with the Earth and the Sun is connected with both. The time when all three come in alignment is good for spiritual practices. It is not a good time to eat, or indulge in pleasures. It is a good time to conserve energy. So, from the ancient times it is said that you should not eat during the eclipse, and you should meditate.

ECLIPSE IS A VERY GOOD TIME FOR MANTRA CHANTING AND MEDITATION.

Chanting mantras at the time of eclipse is much more powerful. This is the ancient saying.

One or two hours before an eclipse, stop eating so that the food gets digested well and during the eclipse time you have an empty stomach, and on empty stomach chanting and mantras are done for maximum result.

Eclipse is a very auspicious time for saadhaks; it is not a bad time. It is a bad time for enjoyment and for pleasures. And when you chant 108 times during this period it is equivalent to 10,000 times or more! So meditation and chanting are highly recommended during this period.

When we are in activity, our mind is always focused in the front of the body. Close your eyes now, you’ll feel your mind is in front because the mind goes through the eyes to look at the world, and through the ears. During activity the mind is mostly focused in the frontal part of the body. For relaxing, we take our mind to the background. You will see suddenly there is something different happening. This is necessary, from time to time.

THE SOUL PRAYER (CHANDOGYA UPANISHAD)

Do this soul prayer, and meditate for sometime on the time of eclipse.

"I shall free myself, as the Sun frees itself from the darkness of the eclipse, from the mouth of Rahu. I shall be freed from the clutches of ignorance, this darkness that has been overshadowing me up to this time. I shall shake off this body which is actually not there. I have been misled into the feeling that all along it has been there. I shall free myself from this obsession. I shall become a one who has fulfilled one's purposes. The aim of life has been attained and all my purposes have been fulfilled. There is nothing left to be done now, because that which is the ultimate purpose of all my efforts and endeavours in life has been reached. I shall attain Brahma-loka, the Supreme Abode of the Creator. I shall reach this Abode and become one with this Abode.

Secrets of Prana Energy and how it works

Atma Namaste dear divine souls, Sharing a wonderful article about prana, from the prashnopnisahd, it reveals a great secret about how it works and where it comes from. Here i am mentioning a brief discussion of Prashnopnishad, where student ask his query about pran from the teacher Piplaad.

Vivek

Kausalya, the son of Asvala, asked Pippalada: Sir, from where does this Prana born? How does it come into this body?

Piplaad Rishi-

aatmana eshha praano jaayate | yathaishhaa purushhe chhaayaitasminnetadaatatam manokritenaayaatyasmijnshariire ||3||

This Prana comes from the Self, Atman. Just as a shadow is cast by the body of a person, so this Prana is, inherent in the Self, Atman and it enters the body by the activities of the mind.

When a physical body of a person casts its shadow, the shadow does not exist independent of the body as shadow is inherent in the body. The shadow is projected by the substance, so is the whole universe is a projection of the Self. The shadow has no intrinsic existence; it enjoys only a projected existence. A shadow is elusive for it can never be caught. It escapes the grasp of man for it is intangible indicating that the Self or spirit is present in the universe only in an intangible manner. Intangibility which resides in all the objects is the shadow cast by the Self and like shadow it remains beyond the grasp of man. That is the nature of Prana. Prana is projected from the Self, Atman. Prana is perceived to exist because of Atman which is its substratum. As there can be no shadow without substance so also is Prana and it cannot be independent. Prana is entirely dependent on the Self and in that sense it is unreal. It appears to be real because it rests on the reality, the Self.

How did Prana enter the body?

It enters the body through the activities of the mind; that is to say through action arising from volition, desire etc., which constitutes the mind. The very existence of Prana in the body is dependent upon the movement of the mind. The senses are vitalized by Prana and in turn, Prana is impelled by the activities of the mind. A man’s present life is the result of his thoughts in a previous existence. This body is fashioned by our own mind - by our volition, our desires, our decisions and resolutions during our previous life.

According to the Upanishad the mind creates the body, that is to say that you are the architect of your own future life; as you think so you become. Our desires bring us back to this world again and again. Thus this text makes a reference to the doctrine of rebirth which is a very important concept in Vedanta.

Even under the Yoga system Prana follows Thought according to which the movement of Prana can be controlled by thought. It is possible to focus the attention of Prana on any centre of the body by clearly defined thought process.

You can easily understand that how healing works by just intention of mind.
